Religious education classes for grades one through eight are offered for active, registered St. Barbara families whose children attend public schools or are home schooled. Classes follow suggested guidelines of the Diocese of Covington. These classes are required before students are admitted to the preparation classes for First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 7 - 8 PM and begin on Sept 16, 2026
Special dates noted below.
- September 16: Opening Class
- October 7: Saint Francis Pet Blessing at 6:30PM, followed by class at 7 PM (pets cannot stay for class)
- November 25: Thanksgiving Eve, no classes
- December 2 and December 9: Classes held
- December 16: Christmas Eve Skit Practice 7- 8 PM
- December 23 and December 30: Christmas Break, no classes
- January 6: Classes resume
- February 10: Ash Wednesday, all classes celebrate Mass in church 7-8 PM
- April 7: Spring Break, no classes
- April 25: First Communion during Sunday 11 AM Mass
- April 28: May Crowning and End of class year celebration in church 7- 8 PM
- May 5: Confirmation Practice from 7-8 PM in church
- May 12: Confirmation Mass Celebration 7-8 PM in church. Reception follows.
REGIISTRATION IS REQUIRED
Complete your registration for the coming year (see below). Forms are also available in the Welcome Center at church beginning in August. Please be sure to include all requested info on the registration, including grade, address, phone number, and email address.
Requested fees to cover textbooks and materials: $60 for one child, $90 for two, or $120 per family for three or more children. Cash/check payments will be collected during the first weeks of class. Checks payable to St. Barbara Church.
