Pastoral Council Nomination
The St. Barbara Pastoral Council exists to provide consultation our pastor so that the mission of our parish can be fulfilled. In order to do this successfully, a diverse mix of strengths and skills are needed among the members of the council. Along with guidance from the Holy Spirit, the council will be able to provide our pastor with the best recommendations.
Membership Qualifications:
A fully initiated (has received the Sacraments of Baptism,
Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation) Catholic sixteen (16) years or older who is an active, registered member of the parish and who participates in the sacramental life of the Church.
The strengths and skills the council needs are:
- An enthusiasm and willingness to work to the betterment of our parish
- Leadership, Organizational, Communication
- Business Acumen, Finance/Accounting, Legal
- Building Maintenance Management, Project Management, Security
- Fundraising, Marketing, Community Outreach
- Demonstrated involvement in various functions across our parish family
The Pastoral Council has 3 (of the 9) members whose terms are expiring on June 30.
If you or someone you know is qualified and possesses at least one of the strengths/skills above, please prayerfully consider a nomination for a three-year term on the parish Pastoral Council.
Nominations are due by Sunday, May 10.
